why do I have to leave credit card information for a free item?
You don’t. Just proceed with the checkout as if you normally would. The credit card/paypal portion will be skipped automatically. You will not enter any financial information.

Yes, just proceed with checkout as directed and you will be fine. It skips the paypal portion of the checkout.
For those of you that downloaded this pattern on or before July 5th, I found a typo and corrected it. You may want to go back and re-download the pattern. It is a minor typo on row 4. Just omit the ch2. Sorry for the mess up, this is the first pattern I have published. If you have problems redownloading you can email me and I will send you the corrected version.
